Germantown Av Construction through 5/9

This week will see some progress as parts of the first phase are wrapping up. Expect more changes at the north end of construction near Cresheim Valley and the diner in the coming weeks. Be sure to consult Ltsp.edu/germantownave for suggested alternate routes to the LTSP campus. Here are a few specifics:

Germantown Avenue remains closed at Cresheim Valley Drive and Germantown Avenue south to the area in front of the Trolley Car Diner. Detours remain in effect.

CRESHEIM VALLEY DRIVE CLOSURE:
Cresheim Valley Drive is still scheduled to reopen on May 9th.

PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO BE RESTORED:
Pedestrian access is to be restored by 5/5 from Chestnut Hill to Mt. Airy, first on the east side of Germantown Avenue and then moving across the Avenue. Please watch for and follow posted signs.

WORK OUTSIDE THE CLOSURES:
There will be work outside the closure around the intersection at Allens Lane, across from campus, along the west side of Germantown Avenue in front of campus, and in other parts of the project, which may cause temporary lane closures but will not cause major delays.

SAVE THE AVENUE COALITION: Remember that all businesses remain open during the construction project.Visit the Save the Avenue website, www.savetheave.org, for updated information, including special promotions and information on how you can support our merchants.
