Germantown Av. Construction through 6/7

Construction work continues north of the seminary campus, with detours remaining the same and no work directly effecting campus. See www.Ltsp.edu/germantownave for alternate routes to LTSP. Here's the latest for this week:

GERMANTOWN AVENUE CLOSURE:
The closure is in the area south of the Trolley Car Diner. Access to the diner and New Covenant campus is from the north (Chestnut Hill). This work is scheduled to continue for the next 7 weeks.

WORK OUTSIDE THE CLOSURE:
Until June 21 or thereabouts, there will be sewer work outside the closure from McPherson Street to Gowen Avenue. This work will take place behind the existing barrier. Also, there will be continued work on the old stone bridge just south of the intersection of Germantown Avenue with Cresheim Valley Road, as well as on the fountain. This work will not affect traffic. PECO will be doing work on the west sidewalk from Allens Lane to Nippon Street (in the area of Wawa and the bank) for a few days this week. This may require lane shifts.

SAVE THE AVENUE COALITION: Remember that all businesses remain open during the construction project.Visit the Save the Avenue website, www.savetheave.org, for updated information, including special promotions and information on how you can support our merchants.
